Terry Sargent (1947 - 2014)  AIA

  • Founding Principal of Lord Aeck Sargent.
  • Led the Design Process at lord Aeck Sargent with a focus on the design of Education, Historic Preservation, Healthcare, Science and Research projects.
  • Practiced Architecture for over 40 years.
  • Received both his Master in Urban Planning and Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Michigan.
  • Received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the AIA Huron Valley chapter in 2013 for his expertise that helped Lord Aeck Sargent win two National AIA Honor Awards, three P/A Awards, and more than 30 regional and local AIA Design Awards.
  • Past President and Member of the Board of Sponsors for the Architecture Society of Atlanta.
  • Past Member of the American Institute of Architects.
  • The Terry Sargent Scholarship Fund was created in his honor to be awarded to an undergraduate architecture student who would be the
  • first generation in his/her family to attend college at Terry's alma mater, the University of Michigan Taubman College of Architecture & Urban Planning.
  • Lived in Ann Arbor, MI with his wife, Jean, until his peaceful passing surrounded by family on November 3, 2014.
