Lord Aeck Sargent, working with Jones Lang LaSalle and Choate Construction, designed an expansion of the existing center.
The new building provides a flexible proscenium theater seating 300 persons for a wide range of performances including drama, musical theater, amplified music and movies. The expansion greatly increases the capacity of the center to host a wider variety of local and regional performing arts groups and touring shows. The new building connects to the existing facility so the new lobby, concessions, box office, restrooms and administrative offices serve the existing 200-seat recital hall and the new 300-seat theater. New theater support spaces—green room, dressing rooms, storage/sets—are located close to the new stage.
