The Bank of America Plaza in Atlanta, a key regional landmark situated at the intersection of Downtown and Midtown along Peachtree Street, has historically exhibited an auto-centric design typical of its 1990s construction, which has resulted in a static and isolated urban site. With the surrounding neighborhoods experiencing significant growth over the past decade, Shorenstein Realty Services engaged Lord Aeck Sargent to revitalize the area. The proposed interventions aim to enhance street-front engagement and establish dynamic public spaces, including a pocket park along Peachtree Street and a large urban plaza on West Peachtree, leveraging existing topography to create a more open and connected environment.
