Pullman Yards Redevelopment

Lord Aeck Sargent is the master architect for the 27-acre Pullman Yard. The site includes 11 historic structures of approximately 135,000 square feet of enclosed space. The property was developed in three campaigns, 1904, 1927 and 1983. The mixed-use development will include a film studio, a hotel, a variety of food and beverage establishments, retail and office space. In addition, the south half of the site will be developed for 300-400 new housing units. The project will capture the historic character of the railroad environment as a common theme and will be developed under the State of Georgia and National Historic Preservation Tax Credit programs. Lord Aeck Sargent’s services provided for the project include master planning, historic preservation architecture for the preservation and rehabilitation of the historic fabric, design of the film stage and supporting functions, hotel design within the historic space, food and beverage design, office core and shell design, interior design and site landscape design. This project represents one of the largest preservation projects currently under way in the southeast and will be a major attraction as a place to live, work, play and visit in Atlanta.
