The Southern Environmental Law Center’s new regional headquarters in Charlottesville, Virginia, is a thoughtfully designed office space occupying the entire fourth floor of a recently constructed mass timber building. This 27,000-square-foot space showcases the building's primary structural elements, including mass timber columns, ceilings, and concrete floor slabs, to create a modern, low-maintenance environment. The interior design emphasizes open, collaborative workspaces with flexible layouts to support teamwork and future growth. Additionally, the headquarters includes well-equipped conference rooms, informal meeting areas, and amenities such as bike storage and shower facilities, promoting a healthy work-life balance for employees.
