Ennis Hall Rehabilitation

Ennis Hall, built in 1918 and located on the Georgia College & State University (GCSU) campus, has been rehabilitated by Lord Aeck Sargent to house the GCSU Art Department. The design preserves the building's historic character while accommodating modern art education needs, featuring drawing, painting, fiber arts, photography, and digital media studios, as well as gallery space, classrooms, and offices. Retaining the historic double-loaded corridor and restoring key architectural elements, the LEED Silver certified building seamlessly blends past, present, and future to inspire creativity and serve as a hub for art education. The project received multiple awards for its excellence in architecture, sustainability, and historic preservation.
