Cooper House Renovation & Addition

Lord Aeck Sargent renovated the historic Cooper House at the University of Kentucky, merging modern functionality with its original integrity. The design combined tradition and innovation to create vibrant communal areas, event venues, and offices. It honored the building's heritage by integrating original features with modern additions like meeting rooms, a reception area, and spaces for showcasing agriculture produce. Through collaboration, the building was revitalized, ensuring longevity and usability while enhancing comfort with energy-efficient and sustainable materials. Accessibility improvements made it inclusive, reflecting the university's commitment to diversity.
