Heritage Hall Multipurpose Building

At Texas A&M University - Central Texas, Heritage Hall, designed by Lord Aeck Sargent in collaboration with Harrison Kornberg, serves as the third building on the campus, primarily focusing on STEM instruction spaces and various support areas. Positioned to foster a traditionally collegiate atmosphere, the design emphasizes casual collaborative environments, encouraging student interaction between classes. Featuring an atrium-like space facilitating connection through floor openings and glass walls, the building showcases maker spaces, seminar areas, student organization offices, and teaching spaces. Additionally, shaded exterior terraces promote connectivity with pedestrian paths, while the highly transparent exterior allows for a display of teaching and learning activities within, fostering social interaction and informal collaborative learning spaces.
