University of Georgia

Studio 225

Lord Aeck Sargent collaborated with the University of Georgia to renovate an existing downtown Athens building for the University’s Entrepreneurship Program. Studio 225, named after its address, now features assignable team project rooms, huddle rooms, study nooks, conference rooms, makerspaces, and faculty offices across two floors. A highlight of the renovation is the Pitch Deck, a versatile space accommodating up to 100 people for seminars and student pitch competitions. The project celebrates the building's historic character by preserving its original bowstring trusses, exposed brick walls, and raw concrete floors. Studio 225 has become a highly requested space on campus, fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among undergraduate students. This renovation project, executed in partnership with UGA’s Office of University Architects, the Terry College of Business, and DSI Construction, exemplifies UGA’s commitment to creating a vibrant hub for entrepreneurial activity.
