The New Rutledge-West Campus at Camp Twin Lakes, designed by Lord Aeck Sargent, is a landscape-driven project that weaves new facilities into the camp's naturally wooded setting, with a focus on preserving and enhancing its ecological features. The master plan emphasizes minimal site disturbance, ensuring that the two lakes remain a central visual and experiential anchor. New structures, including camper cabins, dining facilities, and recreational areas, are positioned within a large, active oval that maintains harmony with the surrounding forest. Trails, terraced gathering spaces, and strategically located outdoor activity nodes encourage exploration of the landscape, creating opportunities for campers to engage with nature while ensuring accessibility and flexibility for diverse needs. The project underscores a commitment to fostering a supportive environment rooted in the beauty and resilience of the natural landscape.

"As I stood in the center green watching these incredible children use the accessible playground, and easily navigate the paved areas around camp, my heart exploded with pride and gratefulness that we have created this space for them to just be able to be kids and experience the joy of overnight camp. It has been a journey, and I hope each of you is proud of what we have created together."
