For The Charles, Lord Aeck Sargent focused on a landscape architecture solution that responds dynamically to the unique triangular urban site at the juncture of Peachtree Road and East Paces Ferry Road in Buckhead, Atlanta. The firm's design for the sixth-floor amenity terrace embraces the site’s geometry, developing angular elements that integrate seamlessly with the building's architectural language. This elevated terrace offers a series of interconnected spaces, including a pool, fire pit, and standalone fitness pavilion, where angular lines guide circulation and frame skyline views, establishing a visually cohesive interaction between residents and the surrounding urban landscape. The landscape design thoughtfully negotiates urban density and residential privacy, creating an immersive outdoor environment that amplifies both the user experience and the site’s historic identity as the “Buckhead Triangle.”
