The Bell Terminus Apartment Complex in Buckhead, Atlanta, designed by Lord Aeck Sargent, is a 350-unit luxury residential development featuring five residential levels above three parking levels for 450 cars. The complex includes rooftop terraces with skyline views, club rooms, fitness centers, and a courtyard pool and gardens. Positioned at Peachtree and Piedmont Road, it integrates seamlessly into a high-density, walkable urban environment surrounded by office spaces, hotels, and luxury residences, with easy access to MARTA. The design utilizes contemporary materials and emphasizes wood-frame construction atop a concrete podium, incorporating dimension lumber, laminated veneer lumber, and laminated strand lumber to maximize the buildable area affordably and sustainably. This choice of wood materials enhances structural integrity and aesthetics while contributing to energy efficiency. The project also includes other sustainable features such as electric car charging stations, bike storage, and energy-efficient systems. The townhouse-style front stoops enhance the pedestrian experience, fostering a sense of community.
