Broadstone 8 South, located in Nashville's 12 South/8th Avenue neighborhood, is a five-story luxury apartment development designed to integrate seamlessly with the existing architectural context. This multifamily housing project offers studio, one, and two-bedroom units, incorporating a range of amenities such as an outdoor movie amphitheater, pool, dog park, spa, outdoor kitchen, and a billiards lounge with a saloon-style bar. The design concept aimed to blend the comfort and intimacy of farmhouse living with the modern vibrancy of Nashville. Each unit features modern finishes, including kitchens with quartz countertops, custom cabinetry, and designer lighting packages. The development also includes a five-level parking garage with 466 spaces, ensuring ample parking for residents. One of the key challenges addressed in the project was the site’s steep slope and the need for the building to adapt to both single-family homes and multi-story buildings in the surrounding area. The project's layout and massing were designed to accommodate these varying scales, while sustainability was a core consideration, including the promotion of alternative transportation networks and the incorporation of eco-friendly features.
