Lord Aeck Sargent collaborated with the City of Grantville to develop a comprehensive Livable Center Initiative Plan for revitalizing its downtown area. This project, commissioned by the city and supported by a grant from the Atlanta Regional Commission's Livable Centers Initiative, involved a detailed assessment of existing conditions, market analysis, and extensive public engagement. The seven-month planning process focused on creating a walkable, mixed-use environment that integrates redevelopment and infill opportunities, enhances pedestrian connectivity, and fosters a strong sense of place. The resulting master plan includes proposals for a new town green/event plaza, strategies for housing infill, and a framework to improve regional access and open spaces. This plan is grounded in both the city's historical context and its aspirations for sustainable growth.
